54th to 56th Know India Programme (KIP)

The Consulate General of India, Perth is pleased to inform that Government of India, continuing its flagship initiatives for engagement with young overseas Indians, has announced 54th to 56nd Know India Programme on the KIP Portal (https://www.kip.gov.in).  The registration is open for Indian Origin Youths between the age group of 18 to 30 years.  Those who have already availed this facility are not eligible. The details are given below:

The content of the programme broadly includes the following:

  • Presentations on the country, political process, developments in various sectors.
  • Visit to places of historical, cultural, religious importance.
  • Visit to a village to better understand the typical village life.
  • Familiarisation with art, music and culture of India.
  • Visit to places of historical importance/Monuments.
  • Visit to a select state in India for 10 days.
  • Call on high dignitaries such as Union Ministers, Governor and Chief Ministers of partner states and visit of prominent buildings etc.

The facilities provided to the participants, under KIP include local hospitality e.g. boarding/lodging in State guest houses or three-star hotels, internal travel and local transport, per diem allowance of Rs. 100/- for out-of-pocket expenses, gratis visa by Indian Missions/Posts abroad. 90% of the total cost of air ticket for the cheapest economy class fare to India is reimbursable to the participants by the Embassy on successful completion of the Programme by them.
